I am watching Levin and I learned something that I never heard before. The “slaves”who were allegedly sold in Jamestown in 1619 were actually treated as indentured servants because Virginia didn’t recognize slavery at that time. They became free people after working off their debt within a few years. This makes the whole 1619 clear and unadulterated bullshit.
