I should have responded to this question earlier because one of you asked it and it’s a good question. Namely why hasn’t the owner of the marijuana farm been arrested for using child labor or for employing illegals? And like I said it is a great question.
And it reminded me of a few things in my past . When I first started traveling to San Francisco, and to let you know how long ago that was, the federal per diem was $30/day, in Union Square you would literally have to pass through a series of prostitutes to get to your hotel, but it wasn’t dangerous. Just a lot of no I don’t want a party. In a year or so that was gone. Almost all federal employees stayed in an hotel, the name of which I don’t remember, because the rate was $16/nite and they were connected to a diner that had the best pancakes I have ever had.
Anyway I was also involved with prostitution at a circle in DC. There was an OPM training facility at that circle and on a few occasions I was accosted by prostitutes again asking if I wanted to party. Of course I always said no, but the point of this rant is that arresting the johns proves very effective. At the place in DC I was talking about, one of supposed hookers approached me as I was heading to the parking lot to get my car and told me to just keep walking. She was obviously a cop trying to make sure that I didn’t get caught up in a program to arrest the johns. She needn’t have worried because I’ve never been with a prostitute in my life But as one you may know, a prominent DC radio personality was arrested at that very location,
So what’s my point? One way to solve the illegal crisis is to start arresting the employers. As long as we continue to silently let employers of employ illegals is a green light for them to continue to do so. We need to arrest and prosecute them. Whenever police set up a sting to arrest johns, prostitution declines, and I believe the same would occur if ICE arrested every employer where they arrest illegals.
