That’s Bidenese for I forgot what I’m talking about. BTW I wrote the title of this rant and the preceding sentence immediately after the presser and before Watters stole my thunder but I’m not going to change them!

Now as I predicted yesterday, the supposed “big boy” presser was primarily restricted to questions about NATO. Now that might be rational given that it came at the end of a NATO conference. But if that was the case then the other NATO leaders should have been there. And I also pondered how they were going to rig the presser given that there is no way that Magoo could possibly cogently respond to unscripted questions for an hour or more. Unfortunately that question was answered almost immediately. He had a list of approved questioners and a notebook which he constantly referred to. So this was the normal “little boy” presser.

Getting to the substance and as you know a pet peeve of mine. Early on in explaining how he single-handedly got Europe on board prior to Putin invading Ukraine, he said he got the intelligence community to declassify information so he could let the European authorities know what we knew. Listen you moron. You’re, unfortunately, the freaking president. You can declassify anything without the approval of anyone else! Not a big accomplishment.

I was as always infuriated when Magoo went off again about corporate management making money. Who the hell do you think is giving them the money? You. Moron! You threw over a trillion dollars into the supposedly inflation reduction act that benefited corporations and not people. You put $8 billion to build ev charging stations and got 8. Who got the undoubtedly non competitive contracts? Your cronies. Likewise with the supposed high speed internet for fly over states. And all his money for Ukraine benefits the military industrial complex.

I’m not going to comment on all the lies he told, but two stood out and I haven’t seen anyone comment on the first. Magoo said he had the endorsement of the UAW. Now that’s partially true but extremely disingenuous. The leadership endorsed him but if I remember correctly, 85% of the membership endorsed Trump. And the second thing which you all know and has already been pointed out by many is his claim that border crossings are lower now than when he took office. Total bullshit!

My takeaway is that Magoo did better than expected but only because it was a scripted presser and the left will never call out his numerous lies.
