Watching football today and when they show footage from way back it always amazes me at how far we have come in tv from when it first began. My family got its first tv in 1953 and I remember when they came to deliver and set it up and then they stayed to watch a heavyweight championship fight and that’s the first thing I ever saw on tv. And it wasn’t a flatscreen, it was a Zenith and a large piece of furniture. We had that tv for at least 12 years and it certainly wasn’t hd. And then color came in the sixties and I actually had a color tv before my parents. But the point of this rant is that until the 2000’s it wasn’t hd. Kids are spoiled today because they don’t know what none hd tv was like. We thought it was great but now when you see old videos you realize how bad it was compared to now. The difference is amazing! But we thought what we had was amazing. And it was. Time and technology move ever forward!
