First I haven’t commented on anything recently because I didn’t find anything worthy of comment. And second I was in the hospital for six days. Everything is fine now and I will have my gallbladder removed in six months.
Now for the purpose of this rant, I don’t know if you know Gad, but he is a Canadian professor who is very bright and also funny. On either Jesse or Hannity or maybe Ingraham when he was talking about billionaires he mentioned paying $100 million for a painting with just one redline on it and it immediately reminded me exactly of one of my pet peeves about modern art.
At the Hirshhorn museum of modern art on the National Mall, which is part of the Smithsonian, there was an exhibit of fourteen paintings representing the station of the cross. Each painting consisted of a light brown, shit colored, canvas with a single red line crossing it on a different place. And there was a sign proclaiming that it was amazing that this collection was painted in just a week. And I being me said to the other people looking at this nonsense that it amazed me that it took more than an hour. And they all laughed.
