I admit that I missed something that I shouldn’t have in Mr Magoo’s build back worse plan. He and his socialist friends want to empower the IRS to have access to any of your bank transactions that are over $600. Now I didn’t pay much attention because I have very few bank transactions over $600. My mortgage and a few credit card payments are all that would be covered and really wouldn’t mean anything. And I assume that between NSA, CIA and the FBI they were already reading every one of my texts and emails and this blog and that the IRS was illegally watching every one of my bank and credit card transactions. And I also assume that every website I visit is recorded in some government database.

So I apologize for not catching the constitutional problem with this bullshit. I have should have caught it much earlier. But it just goes to show what happens when something ridiculous doesn’t affect you or me. Today on the Chris Salcedo show a bank president from Texas said that this provision would be a violation of the 4th amendment and he is right. The supposed justification for this bullshit is so the IRS can catch tax cheaters. Well guess what, if the government wants to search your records for a criminal purpose they have to get a search warrant. The Congress cannot pass a law that violates the constitution. Sorry I missed it.
