I’m sure you have seen Dems calling for her to step down quickly so hopefully Magoo and Schumer can ram through a replacement in the waning days of his administration. Fortunately I don’t think there is time left for this to happen. With Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up there isn’t a real chance that this could happen. There would have to be the required background checks and then the opportunity for senators to meet with the nominee and interview her. And it assumes that if Schumer could completely ignore established process, that Sinema and Manchin would go along. Sotomayor is an 70 year old lifelong diabetic who has had episodes requiring medical intervention while on the court and I believe that she has made the same mistake as RBG and will allow Trump to appoint another constitutional conservative to the court.
