Recently on the way to a doctor appointment I had Glenn Beck on for a couple minutes and he said something that was ridiculously stupid. I don’t know if he was trying to sell relief factor or balance of nature or something else to relieve pain but he said nothing worked for him even 800 mg ibuprofen which you can only get by prescription. That may be technically true but I have been taking 4 200mg ibuprofen tablets twice a day forever. Beck can’t be that stupid although I only hear him rarely and I would have to say maybe.

I have talked about this subject previously with respect to classification authority and now people like Bongino and Clay and Buck and Judge Jeannine and many congressmen and maybe Tucker and Hannity have all said the big difference between Trump and Magoo is that Trump as president could declassify anything and Magoo as VP had no classification or declassification authority.

Now at first I thought that might be the case because the Executive Orders I was familiar with never mentioned the VP. However I looked it up and in 2009 Obama issued EO 13526 and I believe for the first time included the VP. I didn’t check any of the earlier orders because when I searched this is the order that was said to be the one that did it.

Sec. 1.3 Classification Authority

(a) The authority to classify information originally may be exercised only by:

(1) the President and the Vice President;

And then goes on to list all the usual suspects and like all previous EO’s provides that any original classifier can declassify anything he or she classified and anything classified by a subordinate and given the language above, I believe that that means Magoo could declassify anything classified by anyone other than Obama. I don’t want to get into the weeds but by virtue of the Atomic Energy Act only DOE can declassify restricted data not even the president.

So the talking heads need to get their shit together and do a little research. Fortunately Magoo and the morons haven’t discovered this yet because they are clueless and trying to pretend that Magoo knows nothing about the documents or how they got to his oxymoronic think tank even though they got there more than a year after he left office and curiously deal with Ukraine and Iran. Where were they for that year?

Ok I saw today that the I think it’s called the Consumer Products Safety Commission is considering banning natural gas cooking stoves because of some nonsense that they might cause asthma and could leak planet destroying methane into the atmosphere even when they are turned off. Enough of the green bs. Crawl back into your hole and leave my gas range alone. Anyone who knows anything about cooking knows that gas is best. Maybe this is just the natural progression of trying to make us eat bugs which will suck no matter how you cook them.

Earlier I dissed Chip Roy after Laura Ingraham held his feet to the fire and he had nothing. Apparently he was the chief architect behind the scenes that resulted in what I have applauded today. As I said at the time I always liked him but he disappointed me with stonewalling with no alternative. He had the correct alternative and I apologize.

Just to further explain my last rant, when I vote and elect a representative I expect that he or she will have exactly the same power as any other representative no matter how long your Longtime corrupt representative has served. There is absolutely nothing in the constitution that gives their vote more weight than my representative’s vote ! The gang of twenty are doing the country a service that will last for a long time.

Ok here’s what’s really at the heart of the conservative movement holding up McCarthy’s claim of entitlement to power. Over the years the more senior folks have done everything possible to make sure they called the shots and held all the power and it got exponentially worse under Pelosi. So what I’ll call the gang of twenty said enough. Under the constitution every representative gets one vote and it is just as important as the vote of any other representative no matter how long they have been there. BTW in point of fact, the framers never considered the possibility of career politicians. They contemplated folks coming to Washington for a couple of months over two years and for a very limited amount of time to do what needed to be done and then went home to their farms and businesses and families and not staying in Washington forever.

Then the corruption that always takes place took place and we had career politicians whose first priority was to give themselves ever increasing power to control junior members and keep their power.

The gang of twenty said bullshit! We want to restore the House to its original intention and every members vote carries the same weight and they essentially got that with McCarthy’s compromises. Every member can bring a motion to vacate the chair. Every member can propose amendments to legislation and have them voted on and the Speaker doesn’t control what bills get to the floor for a vote. And that’s a good thing and interestingly the Dems should be voting for this also because it gives their members the same rights as republicans and rights they never had under Cruella de Ville.

So that’s what it’s all about Alfie!

It occurred to me that my last few posts may have given the impression that I am a fan of McCarthy. If you’ve followed my rants you would know that nothing is farther from the truth. I think he’s just another McConnell with no core only a desire for power. My concern is that the holdouts have no alternative and just want to grandstand for TV time. There is no way they will ever win and McCarthy has caved to almost all their demands and they still are just stonewalling because they have nothing. McCarthy has agreed to a rule that would allow any one member to file a motion to vacate the chair and put the speaker to a potential no confidence vote at any time. And in case you don’t know it, that was the norm until Pelosi changed it to further consolidate her power. So basically McCarthy has agreed that if he doesn’t rule as promised he can be sent packing at anytime.

So I don’t think it makes sense to continue the charade but on the other hand I have to admit that effectively shutting down the legislative branch is not a bad thing. They can’t do anything stupid!

Actually that’s unfair. KJP isn’t illiterate. She just has the smallest vocabulary of any supposed educated individual. I didn’t comment on her about stochastic because I didn’t hear her mispronounce it and gave a pass to everyone who did because there are very few people who have ever heard that word, however she mispronounced Nobel and any sentient person would know the proper pronunciation and then yesterday she mispronounced emeritus in referencing the pope. I am 100% sure that everyone reading this is familiar with the word and knows how to pronounce it. She pronounced it as ‘em ere right is which sounds like a disease. I just don’t understand how someone who is supposed to be a spokesperson can be so ignorant about common vocabulary. I guess checking boxes is way more important than basic intelligence.

I meant to comment on this earlier but they turned out to be a nothing burger as I knew they would. Even the msm is now pivoting to saying that we need to change the tax code because Trump followed it and they don’t like the results. Do any of you seriously believe that Trump with the best tax lawyers in the business cheated on his taxes?

That’s as stupid as the New York attorney general, I think her name is Lattica James, claiming that he somehow defrauded major banks by claiming his assets were worth more than they were? Deutsche Bank and other major banking institutions took his word for it? They had an obligation to do their own due diligence and they all got paid back in full. He needs to sue her ignorant biased ass for malicious prosecution.

But the more important point here is that I have previously ranted, the Dems never see beyond their nose. Now that the Supremes have said Congress can subpoena and get anyones tax records, the republicans need, once they get their shit together and elect a speaker, to subpoena the tax records of Magoo and his son and Pelosi and Paulie P and Schumer and Schiff and Swalwell and Maxine Waters and Nadler and see how quickly their assholes clench.

And btw every member of the J6 committee.
