And that’s why the left wants to disarm us because as long as we’re armed they can’t subjugate us. That’s the reason for the second amendment. It had nothing to do with hunting.

That was Admiral Yamamoto of Japan, namely the person who planned the Pearl Harbor attack. A quote associated with “a rifle behind every blade of grass” is often attributed to him. It is unknown if he actually spoke it to Tojo (the REAL villain behind Pearl Harbor), but it IS known that that is how he felt about attacking the US mainland. I have read that he was not happy about being tasked with the Pearl Harbor attacks either, but he was ordered to, and so was between a rock and a hard place.
I’m continually pointing out to liberals that the true reason for 2A was so that “We the People” would be armed, and could serve as a last firewall in opposition to government tyranny. It is not there for hunting or sport shooting.
Another thing liberals do that I can’t stand is referring to the AR15 as an “assault weapon”. A true assault weapon has selective fire. That is, it can be set for full automatic fire, or, 3 shot burst fire, as well as single fire. Every AR15, as built, can ONLY fire in single shot, therefore, it is NOT an assault weapon. It’s just “oooooooohh, scary black gun”! One lib HS classmate I have had to make this point with her multiple times, and yet she still does it. She knows that I have fired REAL assault weapons in the military, but she still thinks she knows better than I. She thinks the sun shines out of Biden’s and Gov Murphy’s asses too, so there’s that.
