First I agree that the Dems from Texas are not heroes. They are a minority trying to thwart the will of the people in Texas. However all the hyperbole needs to be turned down.

The reason for this rant is that you need to remember that Mitch McConnell raised the possibility a few months ago that the republicans could walk out of the senate and thereby stop the radical left from enacting its socialist agenda.

I almost canceled this rant because Hannity just made a reference to this but by questioning what the left that is cheering the Texas Dems would say if McConnell did the same in the senate.

Now as you know I try not to just parrot stuff from others without any new information or insights. I decided to go forward because my perspective was basically the opposite of hannity’s. My concern is the position that all the conservative talking heads have put themselves in by pillorying the Texas Dems. You need to look forward before acting. If McConnell and the republicans in the senate walk out to prevent the socialist agenda, the talking heads on the right will no doubt cheer this setting themselves up for being hypocrites.

Now one point that needs to be mentioned is that the Dems don’t have a majority in the senate. It’s 50-50! They have no mandate. They are only considered the majority because Kamala can break a tie but she can’t be counted in determining whether there is a quorum. This is different than Texas where the Dems are clearly in the minority.

I would clearly support a Republican walk out to stop a non majority from destroying the country. They need to hold strong until the 2022 elections and then take back both houses. I don’t know if McConnell can get his caucus to do it because all it would take is for one RINO like Romney or Murkowski to jump ship and murkowski might just do it as an fu to her supposed party on her way out the door because she’s not going to get re-elected.
