QUICKIE

I should have done this earlier but better late than never.

At the Barr hearing this week, AG Barr asked for a five minute recess and Nadler said no. Barr then said “you’re a class act.” But here’s what he should have said after that: “I’m here voluntarily and not under a bogus subpoena that I wouldn’t have honored anyway so guess what, I’m taking a break and if you don’t like it then you can continue and have your colleagues yell more nonsense at my empty chair. You don’t need me for your sound bites. I don’t get to respond anyway so just carry on until I get back.”

HEADS UP

An ominous thing happened last night, at least for readers who live in this area. It was reported that the weather channel’s number one grandstanding, media whore, Jim Cantore, is setting up camp at Wrightsville Beach. You know he doesn’t go to a place that is not expected to be the epicenter of the coverage and thus it would appear that we are in for some bad weather.

INFLATED DEATH COUNT FOR THE WUHAN FLU

For months I have been ranting about the inflated death count for the whu flu. I won’t revisit that other than to remind you that back in the beginning when Italy had an enormous death toll because they were doing what we are still being told to do, a study was done and it ultimately turned out that only 12% of the deaths were actually from the virus.

I am linking to an article that succinctly lays out what I have been ranting about, and raises the question about why Trump hasn’t appointed a expert panel to determine how many have actually died from the virus. And I still don’t understand why Trump doesn’t hold a press conference and lay out in detail all the studies and data pointing out all the misleading crap we have been fed. The only reason I can see is that St. Fauci would still be deified and the left would continue to ignore the science.

That last point raises the only issue that isn’t covered in the article below — namely that the virus has made media stars out of obscure scientific and medical personnel from the local level all the way up Fauci and Birx. They are basking in the glow and don’t want to return to obscurity.

STREAM OF CONSCIOUS

I don’t know why. Maybe because of the news about Seattle being destroyed all the time, but anyway, I have been to two worlds fairs. The first was on our way to Alaska and we were in Seattle. The second was in my last year in law school when I wanted to explore the opportunities on the west coast.

At any rate, I was at the world’s fair in Spokane. Interesting that both were in Washington. The point is that in Spokane I was privileged to see Hal Holbrook’s one man show where he played Clarence Darrow. It was awesome. The most memorable thing I remember from that is that Darrow, who was married I believe seven times, said marriage is like going to lunch with your best friend and you order what looks good to you on the menu and then when the food comes you always wish you had ordered what your friend did
