TWO THINGS

First I was really happy to see that the Trump administration refused to give money to Minnesota for the destruction of Minneapolis that the governor and mayor rooted on! Great. And I sincerely hope that they continue to refuse to bailout New York for its incompetence. Ditto for Michigan, Washington and California. These socialist regimes that have been in power for decades can’t be allowed to use the Wuhan flu or the riots they supported to bail out their fiscally incompetent policies.

The second thing is that I truly enjoyed when Dana Perino shut down Juan Williams yesterday. Juan started out a segment about Trump postponing tonight’s rally because of tropical storm Fay and said he didn’t understand because the rain was supposed to end by noon today, which I don’t think actually turned out to be true. Clearly brain dead Juan wanted to suggest that Trump postponed it because there wouldn’t be a large crowd there as happened in Tulsa. Perino immediately shot him down explaining that the concern was for the thousands of people who come a day or more early and camp out and stand in long lines and that they would be outside in the middle of a tropical storm. The look on Juan’s face was priceless because he obviously didn’t consider anything other than his ignorant talking point that he couldn’t use because Dana destroyed it.

HOME SCHOOLING

I originally wrote this last night but it somehow disappeared when I tried to post it.

Now the question I asked last night was does home schooling put your kids at a disadvantage in obtaining admission to institutions of ‘higher education’? You know that I believe our present education system is just a socialist indoctrination camp. And I won’t allow my grandson to go to a worthless college for absurd sums of money to study socialism and get a degree in some woke nonsense degree like white privilege, a subject with no monetary value.

My question for you is, and I have emailed this to several prominent conservatives including Rush and have gotten no response, if you home school your kids or send them to schools that actually teach them history and science will they be disadvantaged when they have to take standardized tests to get into college. Won’t the tests expect answers that are false but being taught by our education system?

I would appreciate your response to this question.

BTW in case you don’t think math and science are being corrupted by our‘education’ system, you obviously haven’t been paying attention to my rants, but I guarantee you that the entire global warming scam is taught as fact.

FOLLOW ON

Just so you understand the elitist attitude at Harvard, I attended a hockey game at Boston university between them and Harvard. When BU scored, the Harvard undergrads chanted, “That’s alright that’s okay you’re going to work for us someday.” As an aside, I believe that’s where AOC got her degree in economics. BU not Harvard. There’s no way she could have gotten into Harvard.

HARVARD

I assume you know that a couple of days ago Harvard canceled all in house classes for the fall. All classes will be online. However, they will still charge the full $50,000 tuition. They clearly didn’t think this out because as I think Jesse Watters said yesterday they will just be the University of Phoenix, Cambridge campus. SNHU has to be thrilled that online is now as good as in person. It’s not and I will explain why.

Now as most of you know, I attended Harvard as a Senior Executive Fellow. It is a program where the best and the brightest, with the exception of yours truly, from the federal and state governments come together at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard to exchange ideas and information guided by the Harvard faculty.

Now as a humorous aside, on the first day there they introduced the Associate Dean in charge of the program as someone whose name sounded like a feminine deodorant. His name was Klitgaard. And the lady checking us in was named Wassermann. I told her that I flunked her dad’s test and she didn’t get it. First it’s not true, but Wassermann developed the test for syphilis.

Now for the real point of this rant. The professors at Harvard were mostly okay, but nothing to write home about and a few didn’t know what they were talking about. In one case when my fellow students started asking me about how you fire someone in the federal government, a subject that at least one of you know I am an expert on, the professor tried to turn the discussion back to him, and I shut him down by pointing out that his claim to fame was firing political appointees who can be fired at any time for any or no reason and what my fellow students were interested in was how you fired regular employees in the federal government where there are laws and regulations which apply.

So what’s my point? The real advantage of going to a prestigious institution is not the professors. If you know anything about academia it’s a fact that your reputation and standing is all about how much money you bring in for research and how much you publish. Being a good and effective teacher has little to nothing to do with your standing. In fact a significant number of undergraduate courses are taught by graduate assistants.

The real advantage, other than the undeserved resume value of the Harvard name, is the opportunity to interact with the best and the brightest student body. Exchange of ideas, networking and life long friends are the real benefits. If you remove that personal, face to face interaction and exchange of ideas, then Harvard is no better than SNHU and I suspect worse because SNHU has been doing it for a much longer time. There full tuition nonsense is unsustainable over the long term and based on the notion that some people will pay outrageous fees just to put Harvard on their resume.

Lest you think that I didn’t enjoy my time at Harvard, nothing could be farther from the truth. And in fact I was elected class marshal and gave the address on behalf of my fellow Fellows at the end of the program.

CONTINUATION

Ok so here’s what I wrote but didn’t get to post yesterday.

First I heard that a group of people have filed a lawsuit alleging that the mandatory wearing of masks is a violation of the first amendment because it forces us to engage in political speech we disagree with. I hope they add a count they violate the constitution by requiring us to purchase masks. If anything was settled in the Obamacare litigation, it’s that the government can’t require you to purchase something. Roberts had to manipulate the mandate into a tax because it wasn’t constitutional otherwise. I’d like to see someone argue that the requirement to wear a mask was intended as a tax given that all these fiats are not laws just executive fascism. Any competent court would strike them down as governors exercising authority they don’t have as happened in I believe it’s Michigan yesterday.

Now another thing that I wrote yesterday was about my personal experience with the mask. I have been to three restaurants since the nonsense took effect. In two of them I and most of the patrons were unmasked and no one objected. In the other, I believe for monetary reasons I was told I had to wear a mask and I asked how am I supposed to eat with a mask on and they said you only have to wear it for the 12 feet to my table and if I didn’t have one they would sell me one for a dollar. I put my own on for 10 seconds. What a farce.

I have also shopped at Harris teeter and BJ’s without a mask and so were approximately twenty percent of us non lemmings. But yesterday I went to Publix in Cary and masks were mandatory because they had taken the time to actually pass an unconstitutional ordinance.

Now as an aside don’t forget that Cary stands for concentrated area of relocated yankees. And as I ranted about previously, if you want to flee the excessive taxes and over regulation and constriction of your first and second amendment rights in the northeast fine, but don’t come down here and try to recreate that from which you fled. What makes you think that what didn’t work where you were will work for us illiterate idiots down here. If you don’t want to accept how we are stay where you were!! We were doing just fine without your ignorance.

Now this is something that wasn’t in yesterday’s rant but I don’t know if you’ve heard how crazy the pc people have gotten , but I think it’s Coldwell Banker and maybe some others are going to stop referring to master bedrooms as master bedrooms because master triggers some marshmallows. STOP THE NONSENSE! I have no idea what my master’s degree will be renamed.

MASKS

Now before I get into this subject of today’s rant let’s remember back in the beginning of this pandemic. We were told that we had to quarantine to flatten the curve so that we wouldn’t overrun the ICU’s and hospitals. We were told that eventually the same number of people would get the virus but it would be spread out over a longer period of time so that we didn’t compromise our hospitals. Now that that prediction is being born out by a large increase in infections, primarily in the younger folks who are least likely to have severe consequences, all the sudden all the talking heads are pretending that the lockdown was to somehow end the virus. Total nonsense! What was supposed to happen happened

Let’s now talk about masks. I have reported previously that there are many studies that say masks are useless and potentially a health hazard. What I heard today was that the CDC did a mega study by reviewing all the studies on the efficacy of masks in preventing the spread of influenza going back to the forties. The conclusion was that the masks had NO effect on the spread of a flu virus. So why are we being ordered to wear them? Virtue signaling and political efforts to destroy our economy to keep Trump from being re-elected.

This was originally about three times the remaining length, but somehow the rest got deleted so I’ll just put back in the last part because I’m lazy. When these virtue signaling idiots claim you don’t care about your fellow citizens, ask them how can that be? After all they are wearing their magic talisman mask so how could they be in danger? The only ones who are supposedly in danger are me and anyone else who chooses to not wear a useless outlaw mask. (BTW I heard today that under North Carolina law it is illegal to wear a mask in public.) Masks are useless and totally unproven as effective and we need to stop being bullied by our ignorant tyrant of a governor who just wants to destroy the state.

RUSSIAN BOUNTIES

First before I get to the subject of today’s rant, let me tell you what was going to be the subject of my first rant today. Unfortunately Katie Pavlich pretty much laid it out on the Five today. Namely, isn’t it amazing that the leftist mayors suddenly become believers in law enforcement when the mob threatens their homes? If you don’t know about their hypocrisy, let me know and I will explain.

Now for the subject at hand. Mark Steyn has been ranting about the idiocy of the left pushing the narrative that Russia has paid the Taliban or other Afghan tribes to kill Americans. Russia doesn’t have to pay them. They will do it anyway. They want to kill Americans and need no incentive to do it. Here’s my analogy. It’s like saying an alcoholic who has a quart of Jack Daniel’s needs to be offered money for him to drink it. No he will drink it without any incentive because that’s what he does.

I haven’t heard anyone other than Steyn pointing out the obvious. Why would the Russians pay for something that is going to happen anyway.

And another point to consider is the fact that Russia was kicked out by the Afganis a couple of decades ago. So why is there any reason to believe that Russia has influence and ties to the Taliban? This is a total hoax. Really, you need to stand back and consider the big picture before accepting the nonsensical.
