I ranted previously that the shutdown had serious health costs in terms of increased deaths from suicides and drug overdoses and alcoholism. As reported today in an article in Redstate, two weeks ago the director of the CDC made the following admissions:

“We’re seeing, sadly, far greater suicides now than we are deaths from Covid. We’re seeing far greater deaths from drug overdose, that are above excess, than we had as background, than we are seeing deaths from Covid.”

I don’t recall that being reported previously, but consider what he said. More and now dying from suicide than from Covid, and more people are dying from drug overdose than from Covid. Why isn’t it being covered. Trump needs to point this out at one of his briefings and have the CDC Director there to answer questions.
