I just couldn’t avoid pointing out that this is the first recession/potential depression that was self imposed by the government. The economy was fantastic and running at levels not seen in decades if ever. But because of hype from the left, our government has shut down this awesome economy.

And as you know, I don’t think there is any proven basis for this hysteria. There is NO proven basis for this nonsense. Just like the global warming nonsense, it is all based on unproven and unprovable computer models. They have absolutely no idea how contagious this virus is compared to the normal every year flu. They don’t have any idea what the mortality rate is because they don’t know how many people actually have the virus and we probably never will because many people will have no or very little symptoms.

People, Sweden has chosen a very different approach. They have left everything open and count on their citizens to act responsibly, and their numbers are no different than the numbers from countries like ours who have destroyed their economies. It is time that we reopen our economy responsibly. If you’re sick stay home. If you’re old and have underlying health issues, self quarantine. Self distance from folks you don’t know. But don’t destroy the greatest economy on earth.

One last thing, I think that the number of deaths attributable to this virus is overstated. Just like in Italy, anyone who dies and tests positive for the virus is considered to have died from the virus.


One more last thing, I am waiting for the lawsuits after this is over by small businesses and individuals who were destroyed by the unconstitutional actions of the president and governors and mayors. They don’t have the right to do what they are doing. Just like when FDR put Japanese Americans in internment camps, the courts later determined that it was unconstitutional.

PS Truman’s nationalizing the steel industry was also deemed unconstitutional.
