Before I get to salami or whatever his name, which will be the subject of my second rant today, I want to praise Ricky Gervais for his performance as the host of the Golden Globes last night. If you haven’t seen it or only heard bits and pieces today, please go to YouTube and watch it. It’s only eight minutes. It was amazing and he took no prisoners. The Hollywood elites showed that they are really stupid without a script while they clutched their pearls. With the exception of Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese, who took it with humor, the rest were clearly uncomfortable, particularly Tom Hanks who apparently is an empty suit without someone writing a script for him. Ditto for Silicon Valley.
